For more in-depth learning, Linda teaches classes for students wishing to achieve a Floral Design Certificate available through either the Horticultural Centre of the Pacific (HCP) in Victoria, BC.

Floral Design Certificate level 1 - $ 1199
This course is designed to give you a comprehensive background overview and introduce you to the overall Floral design environment. You will be introduced to Floral decoration, Floriculture and botany, Point of sale marketing, event planning. Consulting sales practice, Design of floral projects by drawing, Job search techniques, Layout and enhancement of the offer. You will learn about some of the basic roles of a Floral designer through a series of practical projects.
After this course you will be familiar with the Floral design environment and be prepared to handle various projects. You will understand how to apply the principles and elements of design, the botanical aspect of plants and flowers and hold a consultation with clients, create and budget a design project and take creative decisions. The course will also deal with creating effective presentation materials for the business environment.
